<p style="text-align: left;">Das ist das Ergebnis einer aktuellen Studie von SAP und IDC*. Nur 7 Prozent der kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen nutzen demnach Echtzeit-Informationen, um bestehende Prozesse zu optimieren. Ein Drittel gibt an, dass es mit der Vernetzung und Automatisierung von Abläufen begonnen hat, aber noch ganz am Anfang steht. Und 22 Prozent haben bereits Prozesse automatisiert, aber nur punktuell.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Unter dem Begriff der „Digitalen Transformation“ fasst IDC all jene Technologien zusammen, die „den Wandel hin zu einer digitalen Wirtschaft begünstigen und Individuen, Unternehmen und die Gesellschaft in Echtzeit miteinander vernetzen“. Als Charakteristika einer digitalen Wirtschaft nennen die Autoren der Studie</p>

<li style="margin-bottom: 0.5rem;">Hyper-Vernetzung – als Folge von Technologien, die Kommunikation an jedem Ort und zu jeder Zeit ermöglichen</li>

<li style="margin-bottom: 0.5rem;">Cloud Computing — und der damit verbundene vereinfachte Zugriff auf Software und Services über das Internet</li>
<li style="margin-bottom: 0.5rem;">die rasche Ausbreitung von Sensoren und Mobilgeräten, die für einen unaufhörlichen Informationsfluss sorgen und die Möglichkeit, rund um die Uhr auf diese Informationen zugreifen zu können</li>

<p style="text-align: left;">Auch Investitionen in Lösungen für CRM, Talent Management oder ERP fallen unter den Begriff „Digitale Transformation“.</p>

Mit dieser Lösung ist SAP ein echter Paukenschlag im ERP-Markt gelungen. Sie funktioniert in Echtzeit, lässt sich mithilfe von Fiori-Apps denkbar einfach bedienen und ist überall und jederzeit mobil verfügbar. SAP S/4HANA ist revolutionär und geht weit über das hinaus, was wir bisher unter dem Begriff ERP subsumiert haben.“</q>

<p style="text-align: left;">Gleichzeitig gibt es vor allem im Mittelstand noch Optimierungspotenzial. Denn – so heißt es in der IDC-Studie: „Neue Technologien einzuführen, um dadurch die Effizienz zu erhöhen, ist nicht genug. Sie sollten auch effektiv miteinander verknüpft werden, um so maximalen Nutzen daraus zu ziehen.“ Und noch eine wichtige Erkenntnis geben die Autoren kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen mit auf den Weg: „Die ‚Digitale Transformation‘ ist ein andauernder Prozess, kein einmal abgeschlossenes Projekt. Erfolgreich umgesetzt, unterstützt es die Unternehmensziele auf höchstem Niveau.“</p>
