So hat das Unternehmen im Rahmen einer Contract Conversion einen neuen, flexibleren Lizenzvertrag mit der SAP abgeschlossen. Unternehmen, die von SAP ERP auf SAP S/4HANA migrieren, können nämlich entweder den aktuellen Lizenzvertrag beibehalten (Product Conversion) oder einen neuen Vertrag abschließen (Contract Conversion). Bei einer Contract Conversion lizenzieren sie nur die Produkte, die tatsächlich im Einsatz sind und können damit eventuelle Altlasten aus der Lizenzierung entfernen. Welche Option die beste ist, hängt maßgeblich von den Vereinbarungen im Altvertrag und von der künftigen Nutzung der SAP-Lösung ab.
